New pictures and booked a job

Lauren will be filming a pilot episode on a show as a third grade class member on Monday. Auditions have increased and she is having an averge of 2-3 a week for the past couple of weeks. She has booked two jobs.

We had new head shots taken. Will post for you all. Micah went on his first audition. He did nothing and refused to talk. Maybe not this thing (smile).

We have decided to stay until March 30th and then we will go home for awhile.

Disneyland day

Well today I managed Disneyland with Micah, Lauren and a friend. My mom bailed but we had fun! What a nice day. Short lines, not 80 degrees. While we were at Disneyland, Lauren got two more auditions for two student films next week. One Micah also gets to audition with her. That should be fun.

They submitted her for a Nabisco commericial. Yet to get anything with pay but we have been told that you must have 2-3 National Commercials or student films before anyone takes you seriously.

I heard Dakota Fanning was discovered after her tide commericial.

Happy Valentine's day

We did not do much today. Fun dance at Oakwood and Mylie Cyrus (AKA Hannah Montana's) little sister was there. All the kids were excited about that.

Micah and Lauren have been hanging out with a couple of cool kids. They are sisters and the little one just booked the AT&T commericial with the monkey. Here is the link.

They are here from Fl with their mom also. I am amazed at how many people are doing this. We must all be crazy.

Studio time/video

Well Lauren, Micah, Ahna and I went to a recording studio yesterday. We met with a professional song writer who had Lauren sing and they interviewed her for song lyrics. It will take two weeks to write a song. They will then give her a track with the writer singing and then one with the main vocals taken out.

Lauren will then work 3-4 days a week with a voice coach to get the song down. She will then return to the recording studio and cut the demo. This will be used for auditions and to submit to Disney and other networks looking for actors who sing.

Micah played with with the writers son and got to watch star wars on a huge TV and played with the sound board. I was a little nervous as they let Micah move all the buttons on the $100,000 sound board. My luck he would break something. He thought it was really cool.

Lauren has been snapping pictures all over town and wants to put together a slide show of everything we are doing. We are in the heart of Burbank. Warner Brother Buildings surround us. It is kinda cool.

The strike ended today so we are hoping the auditions will increase. Lauren's UCLA movie was postponed for a couple of weeks sooo we are waiting again.

Exciting projects

Well the writers strike was settled today so there were a couple new projects that Lauren and Micah were submitted for.

They are making a full length movie of Romona and are looking for 9-10 year old girls with brown hair. Lauren was submitted. Will eagerly wait to see if she gets an audition. They typically will not take kids with NOTHING LA on their resume but who knows.

Micah was submitted for Marley and Me based on the book staring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. Wanted 4-5 year old with Blue eyes. Micah is only three so again.. who knows.

I am just excited to see some actual projects that would work opening up.

The Family--Lauren got a part

Hi all. Well Lauren had two call backs but finally landed her first big role (no pay --UCLA student film). It is called The Family and is a short film but her first big experience. She gets to put it on her REEL. First Rehersal is Monday night.
